African Currencies Come Under Pressure

South Africa's currency problems are well known. The rand at close to five-year lows last month, even as the central bank raised interest rates. Africa's once dominant economy battered by emerging market turmoil and a wave of strikes and unrest. But Ghana's problems are also vying for attention. The government has been struggling with a slide of over 20 percent in the Ghanaian cedi over the last year.
