Tripoli Airport Under Renewed Shelling

Fires burn on the runway of Tripoli International Airport Tuesday as Libyan militia fighters transform it into a battlefield. Two days of fighting between rival militias has knocked out the airport's control tower and wrecked 11 civilian planes. The main terminal building has been turned into a field hospital. It's been three years since the uprising that toppled dictator Muammar Gaddafi. The new government is struggling to impose order in a country whose economy is in tatters.
