Myanmar Commemorates 69th Armed Forces Day

Myanmar's military marched in front of the presidential palace to mark the 69th anniversary of Armed Forces Day on Thursday (March 27). The annual event commemorates the start of the army's resistance against the Japanese occupation in 1945. The Commander-in-Chief General Min Aung Hlaing said the Tatmataw or Myanmar Armed Forces has played an important role in the country's history.
