Rescuers Struggle to Reach Afghan Landslide Scene

Local police are doing what they can for the survivors of the massive landslide in northern Afghanistan. They're handing out water and food to villagers in Badakhshan. On Saturday morning rescue teams were still struggling to reach the remote region. Roads to the village are open but said to be unsuitable for heavy machinery. The United Nations is putting the number of dead at 350 at least. More than 2, 000 others are missing.
