A one-year-old baby that fell from the second-story window of his family’s home in China’s Guangdong Province was miraculously caught by a passerby, Chinese media reported.
The incredible scene was captured by a nearby surveillance camera and shared all over the world
The man, identified only as Mr. Li, saw the child crawling on a second-story ledge and told reporters “he didn’t think too much [of the rescue] at the time.”
“I was just afraid of failing to catch him,” he reportedly told Chinese media.
Other witnesses rushed to pile soft materials in an effort to break the child’s fall, though Li was able to grab him in mid-air.
The toddler had reportedly wandered onto the ledge during a thunderstorm looking for his mother.
