China Police Arrest 11 for Production and Sale of 90 Million Toxic Capsules

About 90 million toxic empty capsules containing chromium were illegally sold on the Chinese market, state media reported on Thursday (September 4), with police still tracing where the tainted capsules ended up. In a recent raid, police arrested 11 people in Ninghai county of eastern Zhejiang province. They seized 440,000 capsules and more than 800 kg of semi-finished products or materials in their rented workshop, state-run Xinhua news agency said.
