BERLIN (AP) — Europe’s air safety authority has followed the United States in ordering the grounding and safety review of Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner following a series of incidents with the aircraft in recent days.

The European Aviation Safety Agency says it is endorsing Wednesday’s directive by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration grounding Boeing’s jetliner until the risk of battery fires is resolved.

The EASA’s order Thursday applies to all European carriers flying the 787 Dreamliner. At the moment, only Polsh airline LOT flies the airplane.end of story marker
