April Comes to Moscow with Massive Snowstorm

April came to Moscow with a massive snowstorm after more than four inches (10 centimeters) of snow fell on the Russian capital in less than 24 hours. Snow blanketed streets in the early hours on Tuesday (April 1) with the Kremlin barely visible from the distance in heavy snow. More than 10,000 snowploughs were deployed on Moscow roads to battle the elements, as streets were clogged in big traffic jams. Meteorologists say the snowstorm will continue throughout the day on Tuesday.
