ANKARA, Turkey—Turkish authorities say two cargo ships have collided in the international waters of the Aegean Sea. No injuries were reported.
Maritime authorities say the Malta-flagged Marti Princess rammed into the German-flagged Renate Schulte late Saturday off the Turkish island of Bozcaada, near the Dardanelles strait.
Authorities said Sunday that 11 of the 18 crew members of the Marti Princess have been evacuated upon request from the ship's captain. They say there are 17 crew members aboard the Renate Schulte.
The cause of the accident is not clear. Rescue work is under way to separate the ships.![]()
