SOFIA, Bulgaria—Bulgaria's prime minister says his country has resolved a dispute with Russia over a planned undersea gas pipeline project.

The South Stream project is aimed at transporting Russian natural gas under the Black Sea to Bulgaria and on to other European countries.

Bulgarian premier Boiko Borisov met Tuesday with Russia's first Deputy Prime Minister, Viktor Zubkov, and said an ownership dispute had been worked out. Bulgaria will hold a 50 percent stake in the pipeline on its territory.

He said experts from the two countries will meet Thursday to finalize details of the venture, which is due to start operating in 2015.
