AMSTERDAM—Prosecutors at a court set up to bring to justice the assassins of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri want to expand their indictment against four members of the Hezbollah Shiite militia charged in the 2005 truck bombing.

A document released Friday by the Special Tribunal for Lebanon reveals that the proposed amended indictment seeks to add a new charge, criminal association, to existing charges that include homicide and terrorism.

Prosecutors filed their request to amend the indictment confidentially last month.

Its existence was disclosed in a request to the court's appeals chamber for clarification of the crime of criminal association in Lebanese law.

Hariri and 22 others died Feb. 14, 2005, in a huge truck bomb blast in Beirut.
