David Arias, 16, was born in the United States to two Colombians who were in the country illegally. On October 2, Arias moved to Colombia -- a place he had never even visited -- so his family could be together.

On Arias's last night in the U.S., his girlfriend, Jessica Martinez hugged him in the church shelter where he and his mother lived after his father, Gustavo, was deported in September.
