Survivors waited to be transported to safe areas and the injured lay in the open air, as the rain continued to fall in the earthquake-affected area on Tuesday.

Storms had initially prevented military helicopters from carrying food, drinking water, and medicine to some of the worst-hit areas, but the storms cleared on Wednesday and these supplies were airdropped to affected areas.
