A shortage of workers, missing ballots, and other problems delayed the opening of voting stations. In some instances, crowds waiting for polls to open became restless. Here, people tried to revive a pregnant Haitian woman who was injured when she was trampled by a crowd that rushed the gate of a voting center in Port-Au-Prince. The crowd forced itself into the center but was later brought under order by Brazilian UN troops. Two women were hurt in the incident.
