Reuters withdraws manipulated photos
LONDON -- Reuters withdrew all 920 photographs by a freelance Lebanese photographer, Adnan Hajj, from its database yesterday after a review of his work showed he had altered two images from the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah. One image was manipulated to show heavier, darker smoke rising after an Israeli airstrike on Beirut, and the other showed an increase of flares dropped by an Israeli F-16 from one to three.
