Female journalist will face lashing
RIYADH - A Saudi court yesterday ordered 60 lashes for a female journalist it says was involved in a TV show in which a Saudi man publicly talked about sex. Rozanna al-Yami is believed to be the first Saudi woman journalist to be given such a punishment. Yami, 22, denied working on the episode but said she was too upset to appeal.INDONESIA
Earthquake causes panic, no tsunami
JAKARTA - A powerful earthquake struck 86 miles under the sea in eastern Indonesia yesterday, causing panic. There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
