Just before her assassination Thursday, Benazir Bhutto was photographed at her campaign rally in Rawalpindi. In October, she wrote in The Boston Globe: "I am fully aware that supporters of the Taliban and Al Qaeda have publicly threatened my assassination. ... I will not be intimidated. ... I will not acquiesce to tyranny, but rather lead the fight against it.''
