Smoke rose just seconds after a Hezbollah missile strike in Haifa. At least 12 Israeli civilians have been killed, and hundreds wounded, by the more than 1,300 rockets and missiles fired in the past week by Hezbollah militants in south Lebanon.

Rescuers today also pulled nine bodies from the wreckage of a building in the southern city of Tire, Lebanon, that was bombed on Sunday, raising the death toll above 200.
