Specialist Beau R. Beaulieu, 20, Lisbon, Maine
Beaulieu died May 24, 2004, in a mortar attack near Baghdad. He and his wife, Christina, were "inseparable" at Lisbon High School and were married shortly before he left for Iraq. His brother Brandon had followed in his footsteps, and left Army basic training to come home for Beau's funeral. In his high-school yearbook, he said he planned to stay in the Army four years, then go on to college.
