Lance Corporal Robert L. Moscillo, 21, Salem, N.H.
After a rocky adolescence, Moscillo found a plan for his life: He wanted to become a pastor, he told family and friends, but first, he would have to attend college. To finance his education, he decided to join the military. Members of his Army unit nicknamed him "The Chaplain" because he pushed them to attend church. He was killed by a land mine May 1, 2006, 10 weeks after leaving for Iraq.
