Stelmat was a medic with the 237th Military Police Company of the New Hampshire Army National Guard. A spokesman for the National Guard says Stelmat, who was attached to the 1132d Military Police, died with two other soldiers on March 22 when a roadside bomb exploded near the Humvee they were in.
