Corporal Brian R. St. Germain, 22, Warwick, R.I.

St. Germain was killed on April 2, 2006, in a flash flood that caused a seven-ton truck to roll over near Asad. He was an honor student and athlete in school, then joined the Marines, a choice that friends said was perfectly suited to his strong qualities of loyalty and focus. Besides his service, his other love was his Dodge Ram truck. During his leaves, he would volunteer with the Rhode Island Toys for Tots campaign.
