Recommendation #10
That a continuing Boston Harbor forum be convened to ensure that bold and diverse thinking infuse the planning process for the future of Boston Harbor and its surrounding communities well into the next several decades.
From the panel's report:
In his testimony Hubie Jones called for "a mediating structure to get to Yes." In its final recommendation, the national panel urges that the Governor of the Commonwealth join with the Mayor of Boston to convene a continuing Boston Harbor forum. The forum would bring together diverse groups representing various Boston constituencies, business leaders, elected officials and rate payers who have helped finance the harbor clean-up.
Disciplined by continuing research, the round table would address the critical issues raised by The Boston Harbor Conference, taking them to the next stage of articulation.
