Jose Caquias caught a 30-yard touchdown pass from Mike Yates in the third quarter and the visiting Panthers (4-5, 3-1) held off the Rangers (1-8, 0-4) for the Mid-Wach B victory. Marlboro stopped Westboro twice on first-and-goal series in the final quarter to preserve the victory, coming up with a fourth-down stop from the goal line on the first series. The final stand came in the final two minutes, with Westboro coming up short on three cracks inside the 5-yard line. Westboro junior quarterback Dan Orlando was 7 of 9 passing for 59 yards and added a team-high 62 rushing yards on nine carries, while senior fullback Anthony Phillips chipped in 58 yards on 12 carries. Defensively, Phillips had 12 tackles and a key pass breakup in the fourth quarter, while teammate Matt LaMountain had seven tackles, including one for a loss in the fourth quarter.
