Shepherd Hill 36, Tantasqua 20

Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012, at Fiskdale

Senior quarterback Drew Ravenelle had 11 carries for 91 yards and two touchdowns while earning game offensive MVP honors for Shepherd Hill, which rallied from a 20-6 halftime deficit to defeat Tantasqua, 36-20. The Rams (9-2, 4-1 SWCL A) have won 15 of the last 16 meetings against the Warriors (5-6, 1-4) and lead the Thanksgiving series, 31-7-1. Ravenelle scored on runs of 2 and 57 yards in the second half. He completed only one of four passes, but the 25-yard connection to sophomore Drew Jean-Guillaume early in the fourth quarter set up the winning touchdown, junior Jake Gelb’s 5-yard run. Senior Randy Harrington was 14 of 27 for 174 yards for Tantasqua, throwing two first-quarter TD passes to senior Jon Beaudry, who was named defensive MVP for his several crunching tackles in the secondary. Shepherd Hill senior Brad Picard had seven carries for 110 yards in the first half before suffering a leg injury just before intermission.
