Matt Manning caught a screen pass from Mack Eberhardt and scored a seven-yard TD on the second play of overtime and Quinton Forbes ran in a reverse on the conversion as the host Crusaders (8-1) squeezed past the Wildcats (3-5). Manning was sensational on defense, racking up a school-record 27 tackles, while also rushing 13 times for 65 yards and three TDs. Eberhardt ran for 79 yards and an 11-yard rushing TD while throwing for 69 yards. Drew Moore also had two interceptions for G-D. Gardner quarterback Andy Guay went 6 of 17 for 144 yards and a score, also running in a 26-yard TD. Brandon Williams scored the final two TDs for the Wildcats, including a seven-yard score in overtime. Guay found Ken Correa on the conversion attempt but he was stopped short of the goal line.
