Lunenburg 28, Clinton 7

Friday, Sep. 21, 2012, at Clinton

Quarterback Greg Abare ran an effective option offense and scored on runs of 12 and 20 yards for the visiting Blue Knights (1-2, 1-0 Mid-Wach C) and the defense limited the Gaels (0-3, 0-1) to four running plays in the second half. Bobby Colgate and Tom Wagner also scored for Lunenburg on runs of 11 and 8 yards, respectively. Clinton's Kyle Cutler opened the scoring with a 1-yard run. The Gaels' Matt Notaro returned kickoffs of 45 and 60 yards, which may have motivated Lunenburg to try two onside kicks, both of which it recovered.
