Senior Matt Phelan carried five times for 155 yards and three touchdowns and completed 8 of 8 passes for 92 yards and another score as the visiting Rams routed the Pioneers and gave coach Ken Lachapelle his 300th career victory. Lachapelle has coached Northbridge for the past 37 years and becomes the first coach in state history to record 300 wins at one school. Phelan scored on a 70-yard rush to the left side on the second play of the game, then capped Northbridge's second drive with a 2-yard score before adding a 79-yard burst up the middle to end the first quarter and give Northbridge a 21-0 lead. The Rams' good fortune continued, as Daiton Lachapelle - one of Ken Lachapelle's grandsons - reeled in a 23-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter and later in the fourth quarter another grandson - freshman quarterback Koby Schofer - broke loose on a 64-yard score up the middle to make it 42-6. Senior co-captain Danny Clasby had an 11-yard touchdown rush in the third quarter for Northbridge (4-0). Southbridge (1-3) was able to score off the Northbridge reserves in the fourth quarter, as Emilio Torres (22-yard rush) and Ariel De La Cruz (2-yard rush) found the end zone.
