Running back Nick Kenneway and the rest of Leicester High's seniors snapped a three-year losing streak against David Prouty (5-6), winning this group's first Battle of Breezy Bend, 39-14, in the 44th installment of their Thanksgiving rivalry. Kenneway, who won the game MVP award, rushed 13 times for 72 yards and three touchdowns with 32 of those yards coming on a scamper up the right sideline on the first play of the fourth quarter, the final score of the game. Junior quarterback Drew Mazzeo (10 carries, 130 yards) also had a big day for the Wolverines (9-2), calling his own number on a pair of long TD runs - 25 and 28 yards - in the second quarter. Junior Tom Rodrick had a seven-yard TD run and then caught the ensuing conversion pass from Mazzeo, but he was named the defensive MVP after leading the Leicester to several fourth-down stops and forced three-and-outs. Prouty junior Zach Howard earned offensive MVP after scoring both of the Panthers' touchdowns. Howard briefly gave the visitors the lead in the first quarter, returning a kickoff 70 yards to the end zone, followed by a Marc Lamoureux conversion run. He added a seven-yard scoring run to cap the opening possession of the second half.
