Senior Eustas Anderson scored on an 8-yard rush in the second overtime to give the visiting Colonels their first 2-0 start since their Super Bowl season of 2006. The Pirates (0-2) had a chance to tie or win it, but the Colonels' Dillon Kempski forced an incomplete pass on third and goal from the 5 and Paul Abankwa stopped a quarterback draw on fourth. After both teams failed to score in regulation, Anderson's 10-yard run gave South a 6-0 lead in the first OT before Matt Faucher's 5-yard run tied in for Oxford. Anderson finished with 13 carries for 139 yards. The Colonels lost running back Frank Ansah to a high ankle sprain midway through the third quarter.
