Narragansett 21, Lunenburg 6

Joe McNeil scored a pair of rushing touchdowns and the visiting Warriors (4-2) took advantage of two Lunenburg turnovers to build a 14-7 lead at halftime, spoiling Homecoming for the Blue Knights (3-3). Narragansett recovered two Lunenburg fumbles in the opening quarter - the first leading to a 2-yard score by O'Neil and the second a 1-yard run by Trevor Richard. Lunenburg got on the board in the second quarter, with Cody Lanzilotti hauling in a 38-yard touchdown from Greg Abare. O'Neil added a 7-yard scoring run in the fourth quarter. The Warriors defense, spearheaded by linebacker Marcus Kitchen, held the Blue Knights to under 200 yards of offense (154 rushing yards, 38 passing yards). Abare, a senior, paced Lunenburg with 84 yards on eight carries, with juniors Tom Wagner (8 carries, 48 yards) and Nate Nash (3 carries, 20 yards) also chipping in. Lunenburg senior linebacker Cody Jacobs had a team-high 10 tackles and a forced fumble, with Greg McGrath recovering.
