Everett 51, Cambridge 30

Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at Cambridge

Everett is back on track - kind of. Their 51-30 win over Cambridge was not nearly as easy as the score indicated. The Tide led, 36-22, at halftime, but fumbled twice in the third quarter, after Cambridge scored to make it 36-30. The Crimson Tide escaped any damage following the first fumble, but the second one came at their own 26-yard line. Cambridge was driving to go ahead, but Everett senior defensive back Brendan LaRosa intercepted David Maaghul and returned it 70 yards to put the Tide up, 44-30, and seal the deal. After recovering an onside try on the ensuing kickoff, the Tide added another touchdown - a 10-yd run from senior Jakarrie Washington, who scored five times (3 rushes, 2 receiving) for Everett.
