Oakmont Regional's ability to come up big in key field hockey games was on display again last night. In a rematch of last year's Division 2 state semifinal, the result was the same. Scoring a goal in each half, the Spartans blanked Frontier Regional, 2-0, at West Springfield High's Clark Field. Last year, Oakmont prevailed, 1-0, in overtime. This time around, however, a dramatic finish wasn't needed. The Spartans (17-0-3) will face Eastern Mass. champ Watertown (22-0) on Saturday at Worcester State at a time to be announced. These teams met in last year's final, which was won by the Red Raiders, 3-1. ‘‘Getting to the finals again is very exciting,'' Oakmont coach Leanne Roy said. ‘‘Hopefully, this time around we can get them. I just want our girls to have the best game of their season on Saturday.'' Last night, the Spartans sealed the victory against the Red Hawks (15-5-1) just 11 minutes into the second half. Amy Grenier's blast was stopped initially, but the ball sputtered out. Kathryn Nutting got a stick on it and fed it to sophomore forward Tara Harrington, who banged it home for a 2-0 lead.
