How long had the Nashoba Regional girls' soccer team waited for last night's state semifinal? Exactly 365 days, according to the players. It was a year ago Wednesday that the Chieftains lost a heartbreaker to East Longmeadow in the Division 1 state semifinals. Nashoba was determined not to let that happen again. Seniors Laura Courtney and Kim Slade combined for a beautiful goal in the 62nd minute, and sophomore Kaitlyn Thorogood added an insurance goal in the closing seconds to lead the unbeaten Chieftains to a 2-0 victory over Western Mass. champion Minnechaug Regional. Nashoba (18-0-4) will face Eastern Mass. champion Franklin High in the state final at 5 p.m. Saturday at Worcester State. ‘‘We have been counting down the days since last year,'' Slade said. ‘‘We have been working for this day since the day after we lost last year.''
