Sophomore Brandon Ecklund had two goals and an assist, while junior linemate Liam O'Brien added a goal and two assists as the Bernardians (3-8-3) tied the visiting Tomahawks (7-7-3) in a nonleague clash at Wallace Civic Center. Jack Mullin had two power-play goals and added an assist for Algonquin, while Brody Gardner recorded three assists. Ecklund opened the scoring at 7:37 of the first period, with O'Brien assisting. Ecklund returned the favor with an assist on O'Brien's goal at 13:08 of the opening period to make it 2-0. Mullin pulled the Tomahawks within a goal at 2:27 of the second period, then assisted on Eric Cziria's tying goal 57 seconds into the final period. Ecklund collected a perfect pass from O'Brien and scored a breakaway goal at 8:03 of the third to give St. Bernard's a 3-2 lead. Mullin scored the tying goal with 4:58 left, with Gardner and Matt Tozeski (two assists) recording the assists.
