Senior Jake Loewen scored 30 points to become the all-time scoring leader at Hudson High (1,079 career points) as the visiting Hawks (2-8, 1-3 Midland B) topped the Panthers (0-10, 0-4) in overtime. Junior T.J. Hunter had 10 points and 16 rebounds for Hudson, which outscored Marlboro, 38-26, in the second half to force overtime. The Hawks used a 25-9 run in the third quarter to get back into the game, but the Panthers' Jake Goulet hit a 3-pointer from the top of the circle as time expired to force overtime. Loewen, who came into the game 26 points shy of the school record 1,075 points scored by Jason Blackburn in 2005, scored his record-breaking bucket on a layup in overtime. Hudson outscored Marlboro, 10-8, in the extra frame and took the lead for good when Ben King sank a free throw.
