Jack Henningson's grand slam capped a seven-run fourth that gave the host Tomahawks a 7-0 lead and Algonquin held off a late rally by the Rams to earn the win in their season opener. Connor Henry had two hits, two stolen bases and a run for Algonquin. Brady Ravenelle had three doubles and a run for the Rams (1-1), who scored four runs in the seventh to bring the potential go-ahead run to the plate.
