The Polar Bears came alive in the third quarter, rallying from an 8-7 halftime deficit thanks to two interceptions, a fumble recovery and three of Sam Castro's four touchdowns as North dealt the visiting Chargers a loss in their first game in program history. Castro opened the scoring with a 3-yard touchdown, then added runs of 13, 15 and 1 yards in the second half to power the Polar Bears. Jimmael Cruz added a 40-yard interception return to give North the lead for good in the third quarter. John Savoie returned a kickoff 88 yards for a score, while Isaiah Alvarado became the first person in BMR history to record a touchdown when he drove in from 3-yards out in the second quarter.
