Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, at Maynard

Sophomore running back Stephen Peterson rushed for 164 yards and a touchdown on 30 carries and the host Tigers (4-1, 3-1 Mid-Wach D) took advantage of a dominant performance by their offensive line to amass 257 rushing yards against the Blue Knights (2-3, 2-2). Maynard led, 12-0, at the half, with junior Bryan Kiley (7 carries, 44 yards) capping a 66-yard opening drive with a 1-yard touchdown run and sophomore Zach Uglevich (7 carries, 40 yards) rushing for a 9-yard score in the second quarter. Kiley also picked off a pass in the opening quarter. Peterson's touchdown put the finishing touches on a 70-yard drive that effectively sealed the game, though Lunenburg's Joe Kapp returned the kickoff 68 yards for a special-teams touchdown. Lunenburg got on the board in the third quarter on a 6-yard touchdown run by Jeremy Nash - the Tigers blocked the extra-point attempt. Maynard junior defensive ends Jack O'Callaghan and Alex Martinec had strong games, with O'Callaghan recording five tackles and recovering a fumble and Martinec adding six tackles and a sack. The Tigers were able to run out the clock on offense, taking a knee to end the game. Tom Wagner led the Blue Knights offense with 78 rushing yards on 10 carries, while adding an interception on defense.
