Sophomore Tom Russell and senior Ben Lazare both rushed for a pair of touchdowns and the host Gaels (1-8) capitalized on four first-half turnovers by the Pirates (1-8) to build a 36-0 lead at intermission on their way to their first win of the season. Russell's 3-yard run and a 2-point conversion pass from Alex Ortiz to Darryl Jent put Clinton ahead, 8-0. The TD was set up by a 55-yard pass from quarterback Andrew Grady to Jake Hatch, who also teamed up later on a 2-point converson. Lazare ran 7 and 11 yards for his scores. The Gaels recovered two fumbles, while Jent and senior cornerback Luke Elworthy had interceptions. Oxford quarterback Tyler Tremblay passed 24 yards to Liam Pickett for one TD and ran 5 yards for another. Tremblay also hit Kyle Racine for a pair of 2-point conversions.
