Senior Austin Hourani figured on all of Groton-Dunstable's scoring, with three goals and an assist, but Dover-Sherborn was too much for the sixth-seeded Crusaders, posting a 15-4 home victory in the Central/East Division 3 boys' lacrosse final. The top-seeded Raiders (17-3) face Central/West champion Mount Greylock in a state semifinal at a date, time and place to be announced. "They're the two-time defending state champions," G-D coach Rick Arena said, "but it looks like they just reloaded. They're strong in all facets of the game, and we weren't able to answer their intensity in the transition game." Arena credited junior goalie P.J. Kendall, who made 18 saves. Junior Zach Cotoni scored the Crusaders' other goal, and senior Quintin Forbes had two assists. "We had 10 seniors on the team, and they provided great leadership and battled all season," said Arena, whose team finished 12-9. "To get to the finals is a testament of all their hard work. They were really fun to coach."
