A week after giving its best player a vacation day, Concord-Carlisle gave its workhorse the thoroughbred treatment last night. George Craan rushed for 142 yards and four touchdowns to help the Patriots beat previously undefeated Weston, 25-0, putting the tailback and his team in an enviable position in the Dual County League Small. Craan rushed 22 times after receiving a break last week against Arlington because of what coach Mike Robichaud called ‘‘a couple of bumps and bruises.'' ‘‘We just wanted to take it down a notch,'' Craan said. ‘‘Just a general rest day.'' Concord-Carlisle moves to 2-0 in the DCL and 6-2 overall while Weston dropped to 7-1 and 1-1.
