It's been nine long years since New Bedford represented the Big Three in the MIAA postseason. New Bedford fans hope this is the year they get play football in December again. Phito Gondre scored twice and Nate Lewis threw for a touchdown and rushed for one more in the the first ever meeting between the schools. New Bedford jumped out to a 13-0 lead after one quarter on touchdowns by Gondre and Mike Rapoza. Lewis scored in the second quarter and the Whalers had a 19-0 lead at the half. The next test for New Bedford is next week against Silver Lake.
