Quarterback Kenny Goodnow capped a nine-play, 73-yard drive with a 1-yard touchdown run with two minutes left as the visiting Panthers (2-1, 1-0 Mid-Wach C) stunned the Crusaders (2-1, 0-1). Goodnow completed 28 of 34 passes for 355 yards and also gained 80 yards on the ground. Quabbin trailed, 16-7, after three quarters, but pulled within a point on a 7-yard TD pass from Goodnow to Joe Reed with nine minutes left. Quabbin took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter on Goodnaw's 25-yard TD pass to Nick Thyden. But Groton-Dunstable came back as Matt Manning scored on touchdown runs of 50 and 67 yards in the second and third quarters, and Ryan Vulaggio rushed for a pair of conversions to put the Crusaders ahead, 16-7.
