Caterina Bandini joined WHDH-TV, Channel 7, in April of 1995 as a general assignment reporter.
Prior to joining Channel 7, Bandini spent 3 years as a reporter and fill-in anchor for WJAR-TV (NBC affiliate) in Providence, Rhode Island. During her time there, Bandini's excellence in New England journalism did not go unnoticed. In 1993, she received an Emmy nomination for spot news reporting, in addition to being named "Best TV News Reporter 1993" by Rhode Island Monthly magazine. Bandini's most recent honors include the Red Cross Humanitarian award for her coverage of the Midwest floods, and the Associated Press award in Investigative Enterprise, 1995.
Before establishing her television career as the "Night Beat" reporter and Health reporter for WCJB-TV (ABC affiliate) in Gainsville, Florida, Bandini interned as a writer for both "Good Moring America" in New York and KTRK-TV (ABC affiliate) in Houston, Texas.
Bandini graduated from Fordham University in New York, with a major in Political Science and a minor in French, during which time she also studied at The Sorbonne in Paris, France for one year. Bandini is currently a member of the Investigative Reporters and Editors Association.
