SARA EDWARDS
'7 NEWS' ENTERTAINMENT REPORTER

Sara Edwards joined WHDH-TV, Channel 7, in July of 1991 as 7 NEWS Entertainment Reporter.

Edwards was formerly the co-host of the long running, and highly acclaimed program, "Evening Magazine." During that time she was nominated for two local Emmy awards and won an American Women in Radio and Television award for writing, producing, and hosting a segment for "Evening Magazine."

Edwards began her television career as a news production assistant in 1974 at KNXT-TV in Los Angeles. At the same time, she worked as a weekend reporter at WPFK Radio. Her first on-air assignment was at KLAS-TV in Las Vegas as a news reporter.

In 1979, she was named co-host of "PM Magazine" when it began its first year in Las Vegas. In 1980, Sara appeared as one of the seven hosts of "World of People," a nationally syndicated feature magazine show.

Edwards graduated from UCLA with a B.A. degree in television and motion pictures. In 1988 she was given an honorary degree, a Doctorate of Humane Letters, from Mt. Ida College in Massachusetts.
