ALISON GILMAN
'7 NEWS' TODAY IN NEW ENGLAND ANCHOR

Alison Gilman was named co-anchor of 7 News Today in New England in April of 1995. She came to WHDH-TV from WTHR-TV in Indianapolis, Indiana, where she worked as an anchor and reporter.

Prior to WTHR-TV, Gilman was an anchor and reporter for KCCI-TV in Des Moines, Iowa. She has extensive experience as an anchor, producer, reporter, and editor of medical segments for both WTHR-TV and KCCI-TV.

Gilman has won several news and health reporting awards. In 1992 she received the Hoosier Heartbeat Award from the American Heart Association. In 1990 Gilman placed first in the Iowa Health Care Media Awards, and second in the National Radiology News Awards. She also received an award for In-depth/Series Reporting from the Iowa Broadcast News Association in 1988.

Gilman received a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Kansas and is an AFAA certified aerobics instructor.
