Todd Gross has been WHDH-TV's noon news meteorologist weekdays since 1988. In 1994, he added the role of meteorologist for 7 NEWS Morning Edition to his duties. Previously, he served as weekend meteorologist from 1984 to 1988. In 1985, Gross was nominated for a local Emmy award in the Outstanding Individual Achievement -- Weathercasting category.
Before joining WHDH-TV, Gross worked briefly as a meteorologist for the Satellite News Channel in Stamford, Connecticut. Prior to SNC, he served for two years at WNYT-TV in Albany, New York, as chief meteorologist for the weeknight newscast at 6 and 11PM. He also served as chief meteorologist for the national weather service, CompuWeather, in New York City.
Gross is a member of the American Meteorological Society and has its television Seal of Approval.
A native of New York City, he attended the Bronx High School of Science, and graduated from the State University of New York in Albany with a Bachelor of Science degree in atmospheric sciences.
