Jonathan Hall joined WHDH-TV, Channel 7 in December of 1993 as a general assignment reporter. In May of 1994, Hall was named weekend anchor for 7 NEWS Saturday and Sunday evenings at 6PM & 11PM..
Hall came to 7 NEWS from KMOV-TV (CBS) in St. Louis, Missouri, where he spent 1990 to 1993 as a general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor. From 1987 to 1990, he was weekend anchor and general assignment reporter for WMTW-TV (ABC) in Portland, ME.
In 1986 Hall was an associate producer for WCVB-TV (ABC) Boston and a writer for Newscenter 5 broadcasts. He was the executive editor and producer for WEEI Newsradio 590 in Boston from 1983 to 1986, where he won an Associated Press award for the WEEI Evening Review.
Hall won a 1992 Emmy award in live spot news reporting for his coverage of the crash of a C-130 military transport plane in Evansville, Indiana. He also received the 1993 Missouri Association of Broadcasters award in spot news reporting for his coverage of a flash flood in Missouri.
Hall received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics at Bates College in Lewiston, ME in 1983.
