Dan Hausle joined WHDH-TV in September of 1993 as a general assignment reporter. Hausle has covered a variety of major stories for 7 NEWS, including the OJ Simpson trial in Los Angeles. Hausle was the only New England reporter covering the story live from L.A., and was permitted to spend time inside the courtroom to bring the latest reports on the proceedings.

Hausle has spent over 12 years in the broadcast industry. His first television job was with KOCO-TV (the ABC affiliate) in Oklahoma City, where he worked for two years as a reporter. Hausle spent the next three years as a reporter in Buffalo, New York at the ABC affiliate, WKBW-TV. Hausle eventually joined WSVN-TV in Miami, Florida as a news reporter, and then as a reporter for the program "Inside Report." Prior to joining WHDH-TV, Hausle worked at WDIV-TV, Detroit's NBC affiliate, where he was both a reporter and bureau chief.

Hausle graduated from Buffalo State College in New York with a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism.
